I am Dr Tammy Ellis

I am originally from Canada, lived in Australia, and now live in the beautiful Austrian Alps.

I am a professional SEO copywriter providing English copywriting, proofreading and editing services to Austrian and German businesses who want to improve their marketing to English-speaking clients.

I have had a varied career, from being a cancer researcher to academic research management and now as a Copywriter.

WHY ?

During my career, I realized that writing was my favourite part of all my jobs- So I studied Copywriting and SEO at two leading Australian Copywriting Schools.

Facts

I love living in the Austrian Alps.

I am trying to improve my German Grammar and learn Pinzgauerisch.

In the winter, I am the slowest skier in my family.

My demanding Office Manager/CEO (chief Eating officer) is our Golden Retriever ‘Aussie’. You can find me every morning (even in the rain & blinding snowstorms) out walking with our CEO.

I love to travel. I am always looking forward to my next adventure. My favourite cities (so far) are Vienna, Florence, Singapore and Bangkok.

I am learning to be an Austrian cook – my favourite Austrian dishes to cook are Pinzgauer Kasnocken and Kaiserschmarrn.

I have a B.Sc. (Honours) and a M.Sc. Biochemistry from Queen’s University in Canada. I have a PhD from the University of Vienna the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP),

I was a Senior John Trivett Fellow at the University of Queensland, where my research focused on skin cancer, brain cancer and stem cells.

I am a graduate of two leading Australian copywriting schools- Australian Writer’s Centre: Copywriting Essentials, SEO Copywriting and Real Estate Copywriting and the Recipe for SEO Success course.

EXPERIENCE

Scientific policy advisor in State Government – promoting biotechnology initiatives and managing State Government Funding Schemes.

I worked in hospitals and Medical Research Institutes, helping clinicians and medical researchers communicate their discoveries.

I was the Grants Manager at one of Australasia’s leading medical research institutes, where I assisted researchers in writing and fine-tuning their grant funding applications.

I have proofread and edited hundreds of documents from manuscripts, theses and grant/award applications. I have expertise in simplifying complex subjects into readable content.
